Dear Fellow Believers in Christ, (As Spirit rebirthed sons, Christ in us as us places us in a new creation race of people)

As you rightly divide the Word of God, you find there are two men and two distinct races being dealt with by God. There is the earthly race headed by Adam on through Noah, Moses, Abraham, David and Elijah. The second is an eternal race headed by the last Adam -- Christ. What is the error in intermixing the promises and covenants between these two distinct races? For what purpose did God make these marked distinctions in His Word? What are the depths that Christ put to death the things of the first Adam and his lineage on the cross? How are we to live today as Spirit rebirthed sons of God in the reality and truth about the new creation race? Let's take a fresh look at the two men and two distinct races with the Holy Spirit as the divine teacher and guide.

TWO MEN AND TWO DISTINCT RACES

"And so it is written, 'the first man Adam became a living soul.' The last Adam became a life-giving Spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven." (I Cor. 15:45-47, Expanded Greek Translation).

First, The First Man Adam Was Created A Living Soul by God
"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul" (Gen. 2:7, KJV). The first man Adam was a created being not a birthed being. It is important to understand that God is not his Father but his maker. God took red dirt, as the name Adam means red dirt, and formed man's body. God breathed into Adam breath for physical life, and man became a breathing, living, and spiritual soul. The newly created man is a soul and lives in a body. There is really no mention of the spirit of man in this creation account. While I have heard some stretch spiritual soul into meaning spirit and soul, it still remains a stretch and is not rightly dividing of the Word of God. Why is not spirit mentioned here? God had planned in eternity past to indwell man Himself and become man's Spirit in fullness. God Himself would complete man and make him fully tripartite.

Second, Adam's Direction in the Garden of Eden by the Lord God
"And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, 'Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die' " (Gen. 2:16,17). There were two main trees in the garden of Eden, "the tree of knowledge of good and evil" (Gen. 2:17), and "the tree of life" (Gen. 3:22). If Adam had just obeyed God, he would have eaten of the tree of life and lived forever. This tree is the type of the Lord Jesus Christ, God's eternal life source for man. God purposely directed Adam not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil knowing that it would only bring about sin and death for Adam. God had intended that Adam walk and talk with Him in full and close daily fellowship (Gen. 3:8).

Third, Satan's Temptation to Eve and Through Eve to Adam
Satan came to Eve in the form of a serpent and motivated Eve to question God's word and said, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the Garden?' " (Gen.3:1). Then Eve misquotes God's word back to Satan by saying, of fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, "You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die" (Gen. 3:3). God never said anything about touching the fruit. Then, Satan calls God a liar and deceives Eve. "You shall not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil" (Gen. 3:4b, 5). Satan, himself the liar and deceiver, used the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life to tempt Eve to transgress against God's Word. When Eve believed Satan's word, she ate of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. Eve gave the fruit to Adam, and he also ate of the fruit (Gen. 3:6) . The Word says, "the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew they were naked" (Gen. 3:7).

Fourth, The Fall of Adam and the Original Sin Passed Upon All Men
"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned" (Rom. 5:12). This is the fall of Adam and the original sin that was passed upon all men. While Eve was deceived into transgression, Adam was not deceived. God held him responsible for the sin and fall of man (I Tim. 2:14). When Adam chose to believe that temporal word of disobedience that Satan presented through Eve, that was the fall. The eating of the fruit was the outworking action of that sin of disobedient thinking. Death initially came to Adam's soul. Through the knowledge of good and evil, Adam received the spirit of fear. Ultimately, Adam received physical death, being locked out of the garden and the tree of life. With the knowledge of good and evil, Adam received a disobedient spirit and nature from Satan, but NOT Satan himself, as Satan is NOT omnipresent (Eph. 2:1-3).

Fifth, The Last Adam Did Not Fall to the Temptation of Satan
Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan (Matt. 4:1). Jesus fasted for forty days and forty nights and was hungry (Matt. 4:2). Satan came to the Last Adam – Christ, in the same manner as with the first Adam. Satan first appealed to Jesus with the lust of the flesh – the lust to do for yourself. Satan asked Jesus to turn rocks into bread, but Christ answered that man shall live by the Word of God (Matt. 4:3,4). Satan next appealed to Jesus with the pride of life – the lust to be somebody on your own. Satan asked Jesus to be the Son of God and throw Himself down off the pinnacle of the temple and let angels save Him. Christ answered that man should not tempt the Lord your God (Matt. 4:5-7). Then, Satan from a very high mountain showed Jesus all the kingdoms of this world and their glory. This was the lust of the eyes – the lust to have for ones own power and glory (Matt. 4:8). Christ refused to bow down to Satan and worship him, saying that, "you shall only worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve" (Matt. 4:9,10). Christ, did not fall to the temptation of Satan, and the devil left him (Matt. 4:11).

Sixth, Two Men and Two Distinct Races of Mankind
God created Adam. God was never his Father, just his Creator. God dealt with Noah, Moses, Abraham, David, Elijah and the Nation of Israel. God developed covenants with them, and there is a lot of history with the lineage of this race of man, but still God was never their Father. The first Adam is the head of the earthly or the natural and temporal race of mankind. The last Adam is Christ. Christ is the head of the heavenly or the spiritual and eternal race of mankind (I Cor. 15:45-47). Jesus Christ was the first son birthed with God as His Father.

Seventh, The Distinctions of the New Creation Race of Rebirthed Sons
The new creation race of mankind begins with our rebirthing in Christ by the Holy Spirit (I Cor. 12:13). This new creation race has all things new with old things considered passed away (II Cor. 5:17). The new creation race of rebirthed sons have no history with Adam's race of Noah, Moses, Abraham, David and Elijah. There is NOT any connection with the rebirthed sons and the covenant that existed between God and the children of Israel. We "are all one in Christ Jesus" (Gal. 3:28). I am no longer a earthly covenant son of creation, but an eternal rebirthed son of my Father. The history of rebirthed sons – the new creation race is only "in Christ" before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4).
