Dear Fellow Believers in Christ, (Genuine Freedom is Christ living his self-for-others life through you)

Do we know Christ as our genuine freedom? How do you stand fast in the liberty and freedom of Christ? What does our Spirit rebirthing have to do with genuine freedom? How does mind renewal play a significant role in our genuine freedom? How did Christ's finished work on the cross liberate us? How does knowing and allowing Christ expression in us bring His genuine freedom? Let us look into the Word of God and let the Holy Spirit reveal the genuine freedom in Christ!

GENUINE FREEDOM

"Ever stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has once then made us free, and do not ever be entangled again in a yoke of bondage" (Gal. 5:1, author's translation).

First, We Need to Know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior by His Grace
While man has sought freedom in so many paths and directions, genuine freedom is only found in Jesus Christ. The first step in genuine freedom is to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. There must be some time where the Holy Spirit has come to us to convict us of sin and show us our need of a savior (John 16:8). The Holy Spirit is faithful to only present that Jesus Christ is our only hope and answer to be our Lord and Savior (John 14:26; 15:26; 16:13-15). The Father has given to every man "the measure of faith" for us to receive our salvation (Rom. 12:3). The Holy Spirit supernaturally translates us into the kingdom of His Son by a Spiritual rebirthing (Col. 1:13). The Holy Spirit Spiritually baptizes us into the body of Christ (I Cor. 12:13). The incorruptible Seed of Christ is placed in us and we are Spiritually born again through that eternal Seed on new creation life now in us (I Pet. 1:23). This whole Spiritual rebirthing is all by his grace through exercising the faith that He gave us just to simply believe on Him as Lord and Savior (Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 10:9-10).

Second, We Stand Fast in Genuine Freedom through our Birthing in Christ
We are told that this with this Spiritual rebirthing in Christ brings a liberty and a genuine freedom. However, Paul also commands us to "stand fast" (Gal. 5:1). Since our Spirit rebirthing our Father now deals with us in a new way. Think about this marvelous grace that we have received! The Father of the universe has chosen to Spiritually rebirth us by putting the Seed of His precious Son in us to eternally save us. The Father now wants His Son to live and express Himself in and through us as us. Paul says, "it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me" (Gal. 2:20). Paul goes on in that verse to declare that Christ is continuing to at intervals give Himself up for me by living in and through me as me today. Have you ever considered the marvelous grace of God who has chosen to live in you as you! That is an awesome thought! That is awesome grace! Make no mistake the only ability to stand fast comes from Christ living in us. All genuine freedom began at the moment we were Spiritually rebirthed into Christ as Lord.

Third, We Stand Fast in Genuine Freedom through Spirit Mind Renewal
At the Spirit rebirthing we are complete in the Spirit area. However, we still have the same soul – mind, emotions, and will. We must have faith, totally yield, and carefully obey Holy Spirit and allow Him to fully transform and renew our mind (Rom. 12:2). This process will take our whole lifetime and will not be fully complete until we see him in the rapture or a split second after death. From the Holy Spirit teacher we need to know fully about our Spirit rebirthing with Christ in us as in all aspects as our life, and about Christ crucified with His completed on the cross (I Cor. 2:2). This will help us stand fast in genuine freedom.

Fourth, Genuine Freedom Comes from the Revelation of Christ Crucified
The Holy Spirit needs to reveal and shed light on every facet that Christ completed for us with his work on the cross. Satan's greatest deception to Christians is to get them to focus on themselves and their problems in their minds and hearts. Satan wants you to live and think separate from Christ and His finished work on the cross with everything that you do. Why? You can't live the Christian life alone. You can't stand alone. Christ is the only Christian life. I can't live the Christian life without knowing Christ Crucified as revealed by the Holy Spirit (I Cor. 2:2). Every grip that Satan had on man since the original sin of Adam, was fully dealt with by Christ on the cross. It is 100% paid in full by Christ on the cross. Genuine freedom comes from fully knowing that focus on truth.

Fifth, Genuine Freedom from Our Bondage to the Old Man
"Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him" (Rom. 6:6). Christ took care of the original sin with His shed blood, and the old man – Adam with the death of His body. The old man of Adam that was put to death was every tie with Satan as Father. Knowing this, that our old man that had ties and tendencies to sin, was rendered "down from work" or "unemployed" to Satan (Rom 6:6). The old man could no longer be used and manipulated under the internal control of Satan’s spirit nature to lead us to sin and disobey God. First, we must be Spirit rebirthed by the Holy Spirit, with Christ placed in us as our new life. Second, we must have our soul/mind renewed to this truth by the Holy Spirit. Third, we must let Christ live and flow through us for effective expression of this truth. Genuine freedom comes when we walk in this Spirit revealed truth. Christ put to death every bondage that we had to the old man on the cross.

Sixth, Genuine Freedom from the Release of the Bondage of the Law
Paul clearly declares that, "the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith" (Gal. 3:24). "But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor" (Gal. 3:25). Religion and religious teaching would have Christians remain under a bondage of law, attempting to save themselves by various good works. The Father did not put Christ in you at the Spirit rebirthing, for you to attempt to live a separated life, doing good works of the law by yourself. No, the Father placed the only one who ever fulfilled every jot and tittle of the law inside of you to live in you as you. If Christ is living in us as us, I guarantee that he will never break any law. We sin, but Christ does not.

Seventh, Genuine Freedom Comes From our Spiritual Unity with Christ
Paul lets us know that the veil of bondage is taken away in Christ (II Cor. 3:14). When our hearts and minds are turned to the Lord by the Holy Spirit and He is revealed in us there will be genuine freedom (II Cor. 3:16). "Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty" (II Cor. 3:17). It is Christ that has been Spirit rebirthed in us (I Peter 1:23). It is Christ that the Father has given us to live in and through us as us (Gal. 2:20). What does it mean, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty? The Spirit of the Lord is a self-for-others love-giving Spirit. Christ is in you to give Himself away to others all around you. When you let the Holy Spirit transform the mind in you, and you allow Christ to live and express Himself through you with that transformed mind, then you will be flowing in Spiritual unity with Christ and His genuine freedom.
