When you condider the awesome love and 100% grace that has been bestowed on us, where is there any room for condemnation? What is false guilt and condemenation? How does genuine mind renewal by the Holy Spirit eliminate guilt and condemnation for the redeemed? What frees us from guilt and condemnation by being in Christ? What is the Father's position on this? Let us go to God's word and see what the Holy Spirit just may reveal to us about no condemnation in Christ.

NO CONDEMNATION IN CHRIST

"Therefore there is now no account of a condemnatory sentence in Christ Jesus" (Rom. 8:1, author's translation).

First, The Unsaved that Hear the Law are Under Guilt and Condemnation
Paul declares that all individuals of this world before they knew Christ, "are all under sin" (Rom. 3:9). Paul says, "There is none righteous, no, not one" (Rom 3:10). Paul also goes on to say, "There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God" (Rom. 3:11). Paul informs us "that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law" (Rom. 3:19a). Paul tells us, "for by the law is the knowledge of sin" (Rom. 3:20b). The whole world outside of Christ is under the law and the best that can happen is that through the law they will gain knowledge that they are sinners and will need a Savior. They cannot save themselves by doing deeds of the law for Paul is clear that, "By the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight" (Rom 3:20a). As a result, all the world that has heard the law, have become guilty before God (Rom. 3:19b). For these unsaved who haven't come to Christ for salvation, Paul says, "their condemnation is just" (Rom. 3:8). They are "condemned already" (John 3:18).

Second, Christ's Shed Blood & Physical Death Provided 100% Justification
It is extremely important to know of the 100% grace that comes out of what Christ did and completed on the cross. When Christ died as the "last Adam" (I Cor. 15:45), He put to death every link that tied us to the first Adam. The original sin of Adam as well as the death and condemnation from that sin was put to death (Rom. 5:16). The old man or the Adamic nature was also put to death in Christ on the cross (Rom. 6:6a). The shed blood of Christ was the ultimate sin sacrifice for every sin and trespass – past, present, and future that we or any individual would ever commit. Christ fulfilled every jot and tittle of the law in His Jesus of Nazareth body. When they nailed Him to the cross, they also "nailed to the cross" the law and every ordinance that was against us (Col. 2: 14). According to Paul, "sin is not imputed where there is no law" (Rom. 5:13). Justification for all sin and death to the law, fully reconciled us to the Father (Eph. 2:15). This put to death any separation between us and the Father (Eph. 2:16). As far as our Father is concerned, Christ's shed blood and physical death put to death all guilt and condemnation concerning sin. Christ provided 100% justification for us.

Third, Each One Must Be Spiritually Rebirthed to Receive Appropriation
Christ's sacrifice was certainly paid in full – 100% for every individual. However, each individual must receive and believe the Word of truth concerning this finished work. Each individual must be Spiritually rebirthed for this finished work to be appropriated to them. John quotes Christ who says, each one must hear His word, and believe on the Father who sent Him. Then, that one "shall not come into condemnation, but has passed from death into life" (John 5:24). Paul declares, "that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ" (Rom. 10:17). Paul says, when we hear the word, believe that the Father raised up Christ from the dead, and confess Him as Lord, we are saved (Rom. 10:8-10).

Fourth, We Have Christ's 100% Grace Appropriated at the Spirit Rebirthing
We are Spiritually rebirthed, when we simply call upon the name of the Lord (Rom. 10:13). Christ comes to live in us as our new life (I John 5:11-12). We are saved by the life of Christ in us (Rom. 5:10). We are a new creation life and all things have become new (II Cor. 5:17). When we received Christ, we received a new nature – the Christ nature or divine nature (II Pet. 1:4). At the Spirit rebirthing, the Christ nature is now appropriated and exchanged for the old Adamic nature. Christ now lives in us with His Person, Spirit, life, nature and seed. The Christ-life and His nature is totally acceptable with the Father. There is no guilt or condemnation associated with Him nor us any longer, because we are in Him and He is in us. There is no longer an account of a condemnatory sentence or any condemnation with our Father because we are in Christ (Rom. 8:1). We have Christ's 100% grace appropriated at the Spirit rebirthing.

Fifth, Genuine Mind Renewal Liberates Us from False Guilt & Condemnation
What is lacking now, is Holy Spirit mind renewal to the very truth of all of this. Satan brings up our old life and uses things of Adam remembered in the unrenewed mind to accuse us. However, these are the "old things that are at intervals being rendered void" (II Cor. 5:17). Receiving Holy Spirit mind renewal at intervals is what renders these old things void in the mind. The more Spirit mind renewal we have received, the more Christ in us operates spontaneously through us, and the more these new things are actually appropriated – causing the old things to be rendered void. Genuine mind renewal can only be done by the Holy Spirit in the Father's timing. We need to be available, yield to His Spirit, and make choices led by His Spirit. For that is how our Father chooses to operate in this love fellowship with us. Genuine mind renewal opens us up to the liberty that is in Christ and frees us from all false guilt and condemnation.

Sixth, Christ's 100% Justification Means No Condemnation in Christ Jesus
"There is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" – period (Rom. 8:1). There are later manuscripts that add "who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit," taken from the text of Romans 8:4b. Religionists and legalists have tried to duplicate that phrase and place it at the end of verse 1. There is no genuine reason for this mistranslation. The Sinacticus text, the oldest full New Testament manuscript located, does not have this added phrase in verse 1. Considering the truth presented through the Pauline epistles, including Romans, would not in context permit that added contradictory phrase. In view of the 100% finished work of Christ on the cross, and the full acceptance of the Father, with the raising of Christ from the dead. There is nothing that I could ever do, to add to the 100% freely given grace and justification of Jesus Christ. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus!

Seventh, No Condemnation in Christ is Our Eternal Position with the Father
The Father chose me to be in Christ before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4). Then, the Father chose Christ to be placed in me at the Spirit rebirthing to receive all that was placed in Christ. Everything of Christ is now appropriated in me. Everything of Christ is totally acceptable to my Father. The Holy Spirit needs to renew the mind to the truth of these things. We might fail, make wrong choices, and walk in the flesh aside from Christ (Gal. 5:13); however, there is still no condemnation to us who are in Christ – our eternal position with the Father.
